Editorial Design and Layout for DALDEWOLF
Context
Communication within the legal sector frequently relies on highly codified layouts, where clarity and hierarchy take precedence over visual differentiation.
Within this context, the editorial design work carried out for DALDEWOLF sought to strengthen the firm’s identity while addressing the specific constraints of institutional and legal communication.
Doing Business in DRC — DALDEWOLF RDC
Editorial layout for the Doing Business in DRC guide authored by Patrick De Wolf and Romain Battajon for DALDEWOLF RDC.
The project involved structuring a large volume of legal and practical content for investors and economic stakeholders operating in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The design follows the typographic and visual principles established through the firm’s visual identity system.
Unpublished project.
Typographic System
The layouts are based on a typographic system combining Verlag for body text and Archer for headings and hierarchical elements, both from the Hoefler & Co catalogue.
This pairing establishes a balance between structure, clarity and expressiveness, enabling a refined and coherent organisation of complex information.
the OFFICI@L — European Newsletter
Creation of the logotype and editorial layout for the OFFICI@L newsletter.
Developed by DALDEWOLF‘s European Union law department in collaboration with trade union Renouveau & Démocratie, this monthly publication is intended for officials working within European institutions.
The project combines information hierarchy, readability and graphic identity in order to support the regular reading of content with a high editorial density.
Chromatic System
The layouts are based on a trichromatic palette defined as part of the firm’s visual identity: Pantone 7712C (institutional blue), Pantone 10129C (gold) and Cool Gray 11C (grey).
This restrained colour system ensures coherence across all communication materials while enhancing the overall sense of refinement and visual sophistication.
Food Crisis – How to React? Legal Issues and Beyond
Programme design for the seminar Food Crisis – How to React? Legal Issues and Beyond, organised by DALDEWOLF’ Food Law department.
The layout follows the firm’s established visual system, with a focus on clarity, typographic hierarchy and ease of reading for content-dense information.
Printed using three Pantone inks, 750 copies produced.
Graphic Approach
Layouts are structured through bespoke grid systems designed for each project, ensuring precise and consistent organisation of content.
Graphic patterns and visual elements from the firm’s visual identity system extend into these compositions, establishing a dialogue between typography, imagery and structure.
Regulated Professions in Competition Law
